Hello Groms
Our 'Grom of the Month' title goes to an outstanding achiever, someone who has really excelled themselves and pulled out all the stops to extend and / or improve their bag of stylish tricks. It's not necessarily learning one great new trick that will win you the title, it's also about style, consistency and attitude.

Note to sponsors
- this is a great place to seek out the up and coming athletes!
Grom of the Month
MJ is a super talented youngster with a big bag of tricks! To add to that too, he has great style and is a good all round skier. He's impressed the Grom coaches at every camp we have seen him at and he's now winning competitions around the UK too. MJ, congratulations on been crowned Grom of the month!

I’ve been skiing forever - mainly in Les Deux Alpes both winter and summer (on the glacier.)  This is where I discovered freestyle skiing roughly three years ago while messing around in the awesome parks they have there.

WHERE DO YOU TRAIN?:

I train every week at Chatham slope with the Chatham Chavs crew.  I love going to the Grom Camps with Pat and everyone and I’ve also recently joined the Snowsports South Freestyle Squad.

1st in the Spring Jam at Chatham 2009

2nd in Phat Rotations Slopestyle in Bracknell 2009
Rookie of the night at the Stoke Jam 2009

And lastly and most awesomely – Grom of the Month at Milton Keynes 2010

WHY DO YOU LOVE SKIING SO MUCH?:
Mainly because I am an adrenalin junkie – I love the places you get to go and the people I get to ride with

FAVORITE TRICK:

Switch 270 onto a rail with a pretzel 450 out – stoked with my new favourite 720’s and of course a gansta slide on the box

FAVORITE SKIERS:
Simon Dumont, Sammy Carlson and of course Woodsy

WHO ARE YOUR COACHES?:

Big up to Luca “Lungo” Baraldi my coach in L2A

Woodsy, Pat and the Grom Camp crew
Will Burrows and Rick Hutchings

PLANS FOR THE FUTURE:
Can’t wait to compete in the Brits this year for the first time and I hope to get sponsored someday
